SKC is launching a dedicated artificial intelligence (AI) organization reporting directly to the chief executive officer to accelerate its group-wide AI transformation. The strategy centers on expanding the adoption of generative AI and strengthening employee training to establish an AI-driven work system across all operations.

On the 26th, SKC announced that it has established the "AI Frontier Task Force (TF)," a dedicated unit under the CEO that will oversee the company's comprehensive AI transformation (AX), moving forward with building an AI implementation framework across the entire organization.

The AI Frontier TF operates as an integrated unit comprising personnel from SKC as well as its major investment companies, including SK Nexilis, SK picglobal, ISC, Absolics, and SK Livio. The team is tasked with identifying AX projects directly linked to business operations and driving AI adoption through collaboration with external experts. It also plans to establish guidelines to assist employees in integrating AI into their daily tasks.

SKC is also expanding its AI deployment environments. In addition to its existing in-house AI assistant, "A.Biz," the company is reviewing the introduction of enterprise generative AI solutions, such as Corporate ChatGPT, aiming to build an AI infrastructure that boosts overall operational productivity.

Furthermore, AI training for employees will be enhanced. The AI training programs launched last year will be expanded starting this year into "AI Leadership" courses tailored for executives and team leaders. The company plans to cultivate in-house AI experts through practice-oriented education where employees directly execute AX projects within their actual work domains.

SKC views AI as a core pillar for securing future competitiveness and aims to firmly establish an AI-centric corporate culture.

An official from SKC stated, "AI is a core technology reshaping the paradigm of entire industries," and added, "Through the operation of this dedicated unit, the creation of an AI-ready environment, and the enhancement of employee capabilities, we will accelerate group-wide AX and translate it into tangible business outcomes."
