LG Electronics is reinforcing its premium lineup with the launch of its newly updated flagship OLED TV. Widely recognized for achieving unparalleled picture quality, the product features a state-of-the-art AI processor and the world’s first certified low-latency wireless transmission technology. With this release, the company plans to cement its leadership in the global OLED TV market, where it has consistently held the top spot year after year.
On June 24, LG Electronics announced that it will sequentially roll out its next-generation wallpaper TV, the "LG Signature OLED W" (W6), in global markets, starting with South Korea. Boasting a thickness of just 0.9 cm that flushes seamlessly against the wall, the product is the 2026 model of the tech giant's wireless wallpaper TV lineup. It features an "All-in-One Ultra-Slim Design," which applies advanced miniaturization technology to every component, including the panel, power board, mainboard, and speakers.
The television secured the world’s first "True Wireless Lossless Vision" certification from TUV Rheinland, a global testing and certification organization. This allows the LG Signature OLED W to transmit high-definition 4K content at a 165Hz refresh rate in real time, completely eliminating the image degradation and latency common in conventional wireless streaming. An LG Electronics official explained that this enables consumers to enjoy high-quality content in a clutter-free wireless environment, completely separating the TV screen from external devices. Furthermore, the accompanying Zero Connect Box—which links peripheral equipment like set-top boxes—has been downsized by roughly 35% compared to previous wireless TV iterations.
The TV also boasts stunning picture quality courtesy of its ultra-low reflection display technology, which earned the industry's first "Reflection Free Premium" certification from global testing agency Intertek. Unlike anti-glare technologies that scatter or diffuse ambient light and cause color washing, this method neutralizes and absorbs light, slashing glare by half compared to standard displays. This allows the screen to render perfect colors under any lighting conditions, maximizing viewer immersion.
Having maintained its number-one position in the global OLED TV market for 13 consecutive years up to last year, LG Electronics plans to leverage this distinct technological edge to sustain its commanding market presence. According to market research firm Omdia, LG Electronics topped the global OLED TV market in the first quarter of this year, capturing a 50.5% share by shipment volume and a 47.7% share by revenue. In the North American market, the company locked in a 52.8% volume share and a 50.1% revenue share during the same period. It also swept the top spot in both shipments and revenue across Europe, Asia-Oceania, and Latin America.
"The LG Signature OLED W and the LG Signature OLED T are innovative products that encapsulate the advanced technological prowess of LG TVs, which have repeatedly made global history," said Park Hyoung-sei, president of the LG Electronics MS (Media Entertainment Solution) Business Company. "We will continue to drive technological innovations to maintain our overwhelming leadership in the premium TV sector."
