Samsung Electronics is accelerating its push into the global commercial air conditioning market by supplying high-efficiency HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) solutions to an ultra-premium residential complex in India.

On June 22, Samsung Electronics announced that it has partnered with Central Park, a leading real estate developer in India, to supply HVAC solutions to "The Orchard," an ultra-premium residential complex located in Gurugram, India’s prominent IT hub.

The project involves installing approximately 3,000 Samsung residential system air conditioners across a 300-unit complex. Residents are scheduled to move in starting early next year.

Located south of New Delhi, Gurugram is a major IT industrial center with a dense population of high-income earners. The region sees peak summer temperatures soaring above 45°C, driving steady growth in demand for high-performance, high-efficiency HVAC solutions.

For this project, Samsung Electronics will supply its DVM S2 large-scale variable refrigerant flow (VRF) outdoor units alongside WindFree 1-Way Cassette indoor units. The DVM S2 can connect to up to 64 indoor units and features enhanced structural stability and seismic resilience, making it highly suited for large residential complexes, commercial facilities, and schools. It also supports AI-driven features, including AI Fast Cooling, AI Energy Saving, and real-time AI refrigerant leak detection.

The WindFree 1-Way Cassette chosen for the interiors is Samsung’s flagship residential HVAC solution, offering high space efficiency with its compact design. It is equipped with a PM1.0 filter to manage ultrafine dust and harmful bacteria, and can be integrated with the SmartThings platform to allow users to monitor temperature, humidity, air quality, and power consumption via mobile devices.

Leveraging this project, Samsung Electronics plans to expand its HVAC business—which has traditionally focused on commercial buildings—into the premium residential sector, while strengthening its AI-based HVAC operations in India and other global markets.
