BYD Korea announced on the 10th that it will officially participate in the “2026 Busan Mobility Show,” which will be held at BEXCO in Busan from the 26th to the 5th of next month.
At the event, BYD Korea also plans to introduce its proprietary eco-friendly technology DM-i (Dual Mode-Intelligent) to Korean consumers for the first time.
BYD Korea recently achieved cumulative sales of 10,000 units in the shortest period among imported car brands. In order to further expand its engagement with Korean customers, the company has decided to participate in this year’s Busan Mobility Show following its participation in the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show.
The concept BYD Korea will present at this mobility show is “The Power of Duality.” It symbolizes BYD’s technological philosophy and innovative capabilities, which create new possibilities and value through the combination of two different elements, and reflects the brand vision and future mobility direction that BYD pursues in the Korean market.
Through this exhibition, BYD Korea aims to showcase both its brand competitiveness based on innovative technology and its sincere efforts to meet the expectations of Korean consumers.
The company plans to present new possibilities for eco-friendly mobility through its core DM technology.
BYD’s proprietary DM (Dual Mode) technology is a system that integrates the brand’s technological identity and electrification capabilities, rooted in its origins as a battery company.
Since launching the world’s first mass-produced plug-in hybrid model in 2008, BYD has continuously refined its DM technology for 18 years, proving its competitiveness through sales of over 8 million units worldwide.
Among its variants, DM-i is based on the philosophy of an “electric-first hybrid,” achieving unprecedented energy efficiency by organically combining a high-efficiency engine, high-performance motor, and BYD’s proprietary battery technology.
A BYD Korea official stated, “Participation in the Busan Mobility Show is not just a product exhibition, but also an effort to strengthen communication with Korean consumers and demonstrate our long-term commitment and responsibility toward the Korean market.”
