Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who visits South Korea this week, is scheduled to meet with NCSoft CEO Kim Taek-jin to discuss plans for cooperation between the two companies.

According to the gaming industry on the 2nd, CEO Jensen Huang is known to hold a meeting with CEO Kim on the upcoming 7th. Although the specific schedule and location have not been disclosed, they are projected to discuss cooperation plans focusing on the gaming and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors.

NCSoft and Nvidia are partners that have maintained a technological cooperation relationship for a long period. At the 'GeForce Gamer Festival' held at Coex in Seoul last October, NCSoft showcased its new titles 'Aion 2' and 'Cinder City,' revealing their latest builds. In particular, the new shooter 'Cinder City' garnered attention as it was introduced as a representative RTX title at the Nvidia event. Following this, at the international game exhibition G-Star, the cooperation between the two companies continued, with all demonstration PCs inside the NCSoft booth equipped with Nvidia's latest graphics processing unit (GPU), the GeForce RTX 5080.

In this meeting, plans to expand cooperation not only in gaming technology but also in the AI sector are expected to be handled as major agendas. In particular, attention is also concentrating on the physical AI business being pursued by NCSoft's specialized AI subsidiary, NC AI. Based on simulation, physics engines, and robot control technologies accumulated during the game development process, NC AI is expanding its industrial AI business. Last March, the company unveiled its World Foundation Model (WFM), which serves as the brain of robots, and is currently pushing for applications in the manufacturing and logistics sectors in cooperation with Posco DX and Hyundai Rotem.

The industry views this meeting as an opportunity to expand the scope of cooperation beyond simple gaming graphics technology into the sectors of AI and cloud platforms. Especially since Cinder City, scheduled for release in the second half of the year, is slated to enter Nvidia's cloud gaming service 'GeForce NOW,' the outlook is that the strategic cooperative relationship between the two companies will strengthen further.

Meanwhile, during his visit to South Korea, CEO Jensen Huang is also scheduled to meet with major domestic corporate leaders on the 5th, including SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Global Investment Officer Lee Hae-jin.
