Nexen Tire announced on the 2nd that it has launched its premium tire, 'N'Fera Primus UX'. Starting with its domestic rollout, the company will introduce the product to the Asia-Pacific and Middle East markets to target the global replacement tire market.
The N'Fera Primus UX is a high-performance tire that has improved its wear resistance by 20 percent compared to its predecessor. It is engineered to deliver optimized performance across all vehicle types, without distinction between electric vehicles, internal combustion engine vehicles, and SUVs.
The company applied 'EV Route', its proprietary certification mark designed to guarantee identical performance in both electric vehicles and internal combustion engine vehicles.
Overall performance of the product has also been upgraded. High-speed driving stability was enhanced by reinforcing the materials that maintain the tire's shape. Furthermore, the widened contact patch improved driving stability while minimizing road noise.
Efforts were also poured into improving fuel and energy efficiency. By applying a compound based on new materials that reduce energy loss, Nexen Tire extended the tire's lifespan, while a sidewall design that minimizes air resistance boosted both the fuel efficiency of internal combustion engine vehicles and the driving range efficiency of electric vehicles.
Nexen Tire's accumulated artificial intelligence and virtual simulation technologies were also utilized in developing this product. The company is raising development efficiency by leveraging its High-Dynamic Driving Simulator—introduced for the first time in the domestic automotive industry—to mathematically replicate and rapidly measure and improve tire performance in a virtual space that mirrors actual driving environments.
"The N'Fera Primus UX is a product designed to unleash optimized performance without vehicle distinction in step with the EV era," a Nexen Tire official stated. "Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen our product lineup in the global market based on our 'One Tire' strategy."
