Naver Cloud is hitting the ground running in its push into the global AI infrastructure market by joining forces with Nvidia. The company envisions leaping into a key player in the 'AI Factory' era by combining its proprietary hyper-scale AI model HyperCLOVA X and sovereign AI capabilities with Nvidia's AI infrastructure platform.

According to industry sources on June 2, Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yu-won attended the 'Nvidia Cloud Partner Summit (NCP Summit)' held in Taiwan and unveiled the direction of their strategic cooperation with Nvidia.

This collaboration is drawing significant attention as an all-encompassing alliance covering infrastructure, AI models, and services, moving beyond a simple GPU supply relationship. Previously, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang officially introduced Naver Cloud as a major AI-native cloud partner in the global AI ecosystem during his keynote speech at 'GTC Taipei 2026' on June 1.

The two companies will also expand cooperation in the large language model (LLM) sector. Naver Cloud plans to upgrade HyperCLOVA X by utilizing Nvidia's open LLM technology, 'Nemotron-3 Ultra', and jointly pursue model optimization and fundamental technology research.

Cooperation in the physical AI field is also continuing. Last March, Naver Cloud unveiled the 'Seoul World Model', which digitally replicates the entirety of Seoul using Nvidia's physical AI platform 'Cosmos'. The Seoul World Model is characterized by its reproduction of actual road environments and spatial structures by learning domestic map data and 1.2 million panoramic images collected from all across Seoul.

Naver Cloud's strategy is to target the global AI market by putting forward its full-stack capabilities that combine its proprietary AI models with cloud infrastructure. In particular, it plans to expand its sovereign AI construction business, which guarantees data sovereignty for individual nations by cooperating with local governments and enterprises.

The two companies are scheduled to hold a meeting in South Korea shortly between Naver Founder and Global Investment Officer Lee Hae-jin and CEO Jensen Huang to unveil concrete execution plans for the AI Factory construction business.

"The paradigm of the AI industry is shifting from a model-centered focus to an inference-centered AI Factory era that stably operates large-scale infrastructure," noted CEO Kim Yu-won. He added, "The cooperation with Nvidia is a strategic decision to jointly expand the global AI ecosystem, going beyond a mere supply relationship."
