Female executives from major K-pop agencies have been recognized at the global music industry awards Billboard Women in Music 2026, highlighting their growing influence beyond artists to leadership and business strategy.
According to Billboard, Kim Ji-won of SM Entertainment and Shin Sun-jung of BigHit Music were named among this year’s honorees.
At SM Entertainment, Kim Ji-won, Chief Relations Officer, and Choi Jung-min, Chief Global Officer, were included in the “Label, Distribution & Artist Services” category for the second consecutive year. Kim has led global PR and marketing strategies for SM artists, while Choi has driven business expansion across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

From HYBE, Shin Sun-jung, CEO of BigHit Music, and Mitra Darab were selected in the “Multi-Sector” category, reflecting their achievements across diverse business areas and global collaborations.
Meanwhile, JYP Entertainment’s Song Ji-eun was also recognized in the “Label, Distribution & Artist Services” category.
Billboard Women in Music honors female artists, creators, producers, and executives who have made significant contributions to the music industry over the past year. The recognition highlights how K-pop’s global success is expanding beyond artists to include production, distribution, and corporate leadership.
The awards ceremony will be held on April 29 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
