Unification Minister Kim Young-ho is visiting Tokyo from April 9 to 11 to meet with key Japanese government and parliamentary officials. The discussions will focus on coordinating unification and North Korea policies between South Korea and Japan, as well as addressing the issue of abductees.

During his visit, Minister Kim plans to hold a briefing at the Foreign Correspondents' Club to explain South Korea's unification and North Korea policies. He will also participate in a Korea-Japan expert forum attended by future planning committee members and hold a meeting with the Korean community in Japan to enhance understanding and consensus on Korean unification.

The Ministry of Unification stated, "Minister Kim aims to strengthen cooperation between South Korea and Japan on unification and North Korea policies following the inauguration of the Ishiba Cabinet, and to promote joint efforts between the two countries to resolve issues related to abductees and detainees."

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Japan. Minister Kim's visit is expected to further develop cooperative relations and garner international support for Korean unification.
