SM Entertainment confirms EXO will continue promotions as 8 members

SM Entertainment has confirmed that EXO will continue their promotions as eight members.

On January 8, SM Entertainment revealed that EXO will continue group promotions as 8 members.

“All eight members will continue their activities with the group in the future. They plan to meet their fans through various activities, such as EXO’s fan meeting planned for April, as well as new music and performances,” the agency said.

“Our exclusive contracts with the members who have renewed are still valid. As for D.O., whose exclusive contract has expired, he has agreed to continue with participating in EXO’s activities. We are continuing to discuss future schedules. In the case of Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, we have agreed that the artists can proceed with their individual activities separately from the company.”

Meanwhile, EXO’s D.O. left SM Entertainment to join a new company called Company Soosoo. Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin (CBX) launched a new independent label named INB100 to promote their activities.
