Korean Netflix series “Squid Game” won four awards at the 74th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, making history.
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards is a ceremony where the winners of technical awards are announced. This year’s Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards was held on Sunday at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the U.S.A.
Actress Lee Yoo-mi, who played Ji-yeong in the series’ episode “Gganbu,” won Outstanding Guest Actress in Drama Series, becoming the first Korean and first actor with nationality of an Asian country to win an Emmy. The series also took three more trophies, including Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary Program, Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Single Episode, and Outstanding Stunt Performance.
The series has become the first non-English series to win an Emmy award.
