INFINITE's Sunggyu said that his music video for new song "Kontrol" is not about the Sewol Ferry incident.
On May 11, Sunggyu held a showcase to celebrate the release of his second mini solo album "27" at Seoul Olympic Park, Muse Live Hall.
During the showcase, Sunggyu responded to the fans' speculation claiming that the music video for "Kontrol" was made in memory of the Sewol Ferry tragedy. He said, "When we were planning and filming 'Kontrol', we didn't have the Sewol Ferry incident in mind."
He said, "The song is about lovers, but I thought it could be interpreted in other ways, and be about waiting for a beloved family member or a friend. So we filmed a story about looking for a missing younger sister in the music video. But I thought it's possible that it could be seen as about the Sewol Ferry incident."
Meanwhile, Sunggyu's second mini album '27' is consisted of 6 tracks including double title tracks "Kontrol", and "It Has to Be You."
