Jin Air is accelerating the expansion of its flight network to China by launching a new direct service to Yichang in Hubei Province. Targeting autumn travel demand to China, the carrier plans to operate the Incheon-Yichang route twice a week initially before scaling up to four weekly flights starting next month.

On the 18th, Jin Air announced that it held an inaugural ceremony for the new Incheon-Yichang service at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 on the 17th and commenced its first scheduled flight.

The Incheon-Yichang flights will run twice a week through the 11th of next month. Flights depart Incheon at 8:25 p.m. and land in Yichang at 10:55 p.m. local time, with return flights departing Yichang at 11:55 p.m. and arriving in Incheon at 4:05 a.m. the following morning. Total flight time is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.

From the 12th of next month through November 29, Jin Air will increase service frequency to four times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Yichang, located in Hubei Province, offers overland connectivity to Zhangjiajie as well as direct access to major surrounding tourist destinations such as the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River and the Three Gorges Dam. Jin Air plans to leverage these attractions to capture autumn travel demand.

With this launch, Jin Air has expanded its China portfolio departing from Incheon to include Yichang, alongside Qingdao, Yantai, and Guilin. The company expects passenger convenience to improve further, boosted by China's visa-free entry policy.

Passengers traveling on the Incheon-Yichang route receive a complimentary checked baggage allowance of 15 kilograms.

An official from Jin Air said, "This launch broadens travel options for visitors exploring destinations like Zhangjiajie and the Three Gorges," adding, "We will continue enhancing our route competitiveness to deliver greater convenience for our customers."
