U.S. President Donald Trump warned that countries failing to support the war against Iran will face demands to compensate the U.S. later on.  

Early on the 15th local time, President Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social: "Oil is flowing through the Hormuz Strait. The Countries of the World, which have been no help to us whatsoever, should, and will, reimburse the United States of America when this SCAM Confligration is all over."  

He added, "We are doing it much more for others, than we are for ourselves, and we have been for Generations!"  

The U.S. has deployed military forces to the Iran-controlled Strait of Hormuz to facilitate safe passage for select oil tankers.  

President Trump's message is viewed as a demand that nations benefiting from these operations shoulder their share of the financial or military burden.  

This is not the first time he has made such remarks. On March 14, President Trump singled out South Korea, China, Japan, the UK, and France, urging them to deploy warships to the Strait of Hormuz.  

On the 16th of last month, he also stated that the scale of joint South Korea-U.S. military exercises had been drastically reduced because South Korea did not cooperate in the war with Iran.
