The South Korean government decided on the 4th to provide emergency relief supplies worth 130 million won to Nepal to aid victims in flood-hit areas.

On this day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced its decision to swiftly dispatch two types of items, including 36,000 emergency thermal blankets and 2,320 heavy-duty thermal blankets. The relief supplies are scheduled to arrive in Nepal on the 5th via commercial flights.

Earlier on August 27, shortly after the floods struck Nepal, the South Korean government announced $1 million in humanitarian assistance. It also dispatched the Korea Disaster Relief Team (KDRT) on the 1st. The $1 million in humanitarian aid will be delivered through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to supply drinking water, first-aid and hygiene kits, and essential healthcare goods to residents in the flood-affected areas.

An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "Our government will continue close communication with the Nepalese government and actively explore ways to provide necessary support to the affected regions."
