SSG.COM announced on July 9 that it will host "Canada Week" through July 22 in collaboration with the Embassy of Canada to South Korea, offering up to a 40% discount on around 1,000 Canadian food products.

Marking its fifth anniversary this year, the event brings together a wide variety of Canadian items, ranging from fresh food to processed products and health supplements.

For featured fresh items, lobster claws (450g) are available at a 40% discount in the 17,000 won range. Fresh salmon, maple-marinated beef top blade steak, and marinated bite-sized beef short ribs are each offered at 35% off. Canadian pork belly, pork shoulder, sweet shrimp, and organic blueberries are also featured at special prices.

Processed foods are seeing marked downs as well. Whistler water (350ml, 24-pack) is priced in the 17,000 won range, while seven varieties of Raincoast crackers (170g) are available in the 13,000 won range. Maple Joe’s maple syrup along with omega-3+vitamin D, probiotics, and milk thistle from Canadian health supplement brand Natural Immix are also on sale.

"To mark the fifth year of this event, we have prepared the largest selection ever of Canada's representative eco-friendly foods," said Lee Myung-geun, Head of the Sales Division at SSG.COM. "We will continue to expand our global partnerships to offer distinctive premium products at reasonable prices."

"Canada Week is a flagship event that has introduced a wide variety of Canadian food products to Korean consumers in partnership with SSG.COM for five years," said Philippe Lafortune, Ambassador of Canada to South Korea. "We hope this year's event serves as another great opportunity for people to experience the excellent quality and appeal of Canadian food."
