LS ELECTRIC is accelerating its push into the ASEAN power infrastructure market, leveraging Vietnam as a strategic hub. As power grid reliability emerges as a critical capability driven by a confluence of expanding AI data centers, growing manufacturing investments, and the energy transition, the company plans to broaden its position beyond a simple hardware supplier to become an integrated solution provider.

On July 9, LS ELECTRIC announced its participation in ELECS VIETNAM 2026, which will be held from July 15 to 17 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

LS ELECTRIC will set up an exhibition space spanning 144 square meters with 16 booths, the largest among the participating companies, under the theme "The Future of Vietnam Built upon AI-Based Integrated Solutions." The exhibition hall will be organized into four dedicated zones: AI Data Center, Digital Transformation (DX), Smart Power Management, and Smart Factory.

The company's participation aligns with shifting dynamics in the ASEAN power market. Rapid economic growth, urbanization, and industrial expansion, coupled with a surge in global data center investments, are driving up electricity demand across the region. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), electricity demand in ASEAN has surged by over 60% over the past decade and is projected to maintain an annual growth rate in the 5% range from 2026 through 2030.

The fundamental nature of the power infrastructure market is undergoing a notable shift. While previous market growth focused on quantitative expansion by building more power plants and transmission facilities, recent demands emphasize grid stability, energy efficiency, real-time monitoring, and uninterruptible operational capabilities. Because even momentary power disruptions can inflict massive financial losses on AI data centers and high-tech manufacturing facilities, market demand for sophisticated power management solutions is expanding.

In the AI Data Center Zone, LS ELECTRIC will showcase its high-capacity Remote Power Panels (RPPs) and Closed-Transition Transfer Switches (CTTSs). The RPP delivers large volumes of power stably to servers inside data centers, while the CTTS enables seamless switching between utility and emergency power sources in the event of an outage. Both serve as critical components ensuring 24/7 continuous data center operations.

The Digital Transformation Zone will feature "K-EMS 2.0," an integrated grid control platform designed for nationwide power networks. Developed in-house by LS ELECTRIC, K-EMS 2.0 focuses on reducing operational costs and proactively predicting mass blackout risks through optimized generation control and real-time stability analysis.

In the Smart Power Management Zone, the company will introduce essential transmission and distribution equipment—including transformers, switchgears, and circuit breakers—alongside power quality improvement solutions based on Energy Storage Systems (ESS). The Smart Factory Zone will unveil "SMI," a digital twin-based factory operating system, and "Edge Hub," an edge computing solution.

LS ELECTRIC plans to expand its presence across the ASEAN market by pitching packaged power infrastructure solutions tailored to specific client needs, such as data centers, industrial complexes, renewable energy sites, and smart factories. Possessing core technologies in both power systems and automation, the company expects to maintain a competitive advantage in executing integrated projects covering design, operations, and management, rather than relying on individual component sales.

"ASEAN is a strategic market where investments in next-generation power infrastructure are entering full swing, driven simultaneously by data center investments, manufacturing growth, and the energy transition," an LS ELECTRIC official stated. "We will aggressively market our AI-based integrated solutions and over 50 years of accumulated expertise in power and automation to local customers."
