A survey showing that President Lee Jae-myung's state administration execution approval rating fell for six consecutive weeks came out on the 29th.

As a result of a survey conducted by Realmeter commissioned by the Energy Economy Newspaper targeting 2,502 people over the age of 18 nationwide from the 22nd to 26th, positive assessment regarding President Lee's state administration execution was compiled at 46.5%, dropping by 0.2 percentage points (p) compared to last week.

Negative assessment was compiled at 49.5%, falling by 0.2%p compared to last week. The proportion of those replying 'do not know well' was 4%.

President Lee's approval rating fell for six consecutive weeks starting from the fourth week of April.

Realmeter analyzed, "Amid the prolonged situation of shoddy management of ballots by the National Election Commission, distrust toward the livelihood economy expanded, combined with the political battles between the ruling and opposition parties surrounding the policy to abolish the prosecution's supplementary investigative power and the controversy over the Honam semiconductor investment, making the downward trend of the approval rating persist."

Examining by region, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam recorded 43.2%, dropping by 4.3%p compared to last week, showing the largest drop width.

By age group, the approval rating among those in their 70s and older recorded 45%, falling by 1.7%p compared to the previous week. Among those in their 40s, it recorded 56.9%, dropping by 1.3%p.

In the political party approval rating survey (from the 25th to 26th, targeting 1,002 people over the age of 18 nationwide), the Democratic Party of Korea recorded 41%, rising by 0.9%p compared to the previous week, and the People Power Party recorded 42%, falling by 0.3%p.

Realmeter analyzed, "The Democratic Party drove the rise of its approval rating as the Honam semiconductor cluster investment issue led to the gathering of the support base in Gwangju, Jeolla and those in their 40s."

The approval rating of the Rebuilding Korea Party was compiled at 3.7%. The New Reform Party recorded 2.8%, and the Progressive Party recorded 1.5%. The proportion of those responding as the unaffiliated group was 6.9%.

Both surveys were conducted through wireless automated response methods. The margin of error of the state administration execution approval rating survey was ±2.0%p at a 95% confidence level, and the response rate recorded 4.1%. The response rate of the political party approval rating survey was ±3.1%p at a 95% confidence level margin of error, and the response rate was 3.4%.
