Hyun Shin-gyun, CEO of LG CNS, is expected to visit Nvidia's headquarters in the United States to discuss the robotics transformation (RX) business. As LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo met directly with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang during the latter's visit to South Korea this month and agreed to solidify their partnership across the overall AI ecosystem in the physical AI, AI infrastructure, and mobility sectors, keen attention is focused on whether CEO Hyun's upcoming visit will translate into substantial actions.
According to industry sources on the 21st, CEO Hyun, along with executives from group affiliates including LG Electronics and LG Energy Solution, will visit Nvidia's headquarters in San Jose, California, on the 22nd (local time). It has not been disclosed exactly whom they will meet at Nvidia.
LG CNS is leading the RX sector within the group. The company recently introduced "PhysicalWorks," a platform that integrates and manages the entire process of training and operating robots into a single system. This marks the first time a South Korean enterprise has launched a self-branded platform that handles everything from robot training to operation.
The industry is watching closely to see if synergy can be generated between LG CNS's PhysicalWorks and Nvidia's robotics ecosystem, "Isaac."
Earlier this month, LG announced that it would strengthen collaboration to jointly develop Nvidia's reference robots based on Nvidia's Isaac GR00T ecosystem.
LG CNS also recently entered into an all-encompassing business cooperation with Doosan, covering AI, robotics, data centers, and cloud computing.
