Samsung Electronics announced on the 21st that it held a panel discussion in front of a global audience of approximately 1,000 attendees at VivaTech 2026 in Paris, France, on the 19th (local time), presenting its AI-driven strategy to expand the healthcare ecosystem. At Europe's largest startup and tech exhibition, the company introduced its future healthcare vision, 'Connected Care,' which is rooted in open collaboration.

The event brought together Hon Pak, Head of the Digital Health Team at Samsung Electronics' MX Business; David Lee, Head of Samsung Next; and executives from strategic partners including Xealth, Generation Lab, and SiPhox Health to discuss the future of healthcare in the AI era and the vital role of collaborative ecosystems.

During the discussion, the panelists highlighted the importance of proactive, preventive wellness management centered around the 'Connected Care' vision. Moving away from the conventional reactive approach of treating illnesses after they occur, Connected Care utilizes smart devices and platforms to seamlessly monitor health status and prevent diseases in advance.

Dr. Pak emphasized Samsung Electronics' robust ecosystem by introducing its global user base, which includes 77 million monthly active users (MAU) on Samsung Health and 460 million registered users on SmartThings. The company put forward its competitive edge in delivering health management services by interconnecting a vast array of devices, spanning from semiconductors, smartphones, and wearables to TVs and home appliances.

In particular, the panel anticipated that a 'Connected Home' environment powered by SmartThings would become the cornerstone of future healthcare. By integrating not only its own products but also various third-party devices from partners, Samsung provides life-centric services such as personalized automation routines, family care, and pet care.

Partner companies attending the session highly commended Samsung's open ecosystem. Generation Lab provides a solution that measures biological age and manages aging at home, while SiPhox Health offers a service enabling home-based wellness checks via hospital-grade blood tests. Xealth is collaborating to build a continuous healthcare platform that bridges clinical care in hospitals with daily wellness management.

Samsung Electronics also introduced the 'Samsung Health SDK Suite' for developers at the event. This suite allows external developers to build innovative healthcare services leveraging Samsung's advanced sensor technology and health platform. Additionally, the company explained that its defense-grade security platform, 'Knox,' safely protects personal health data to build a highly secure and trustworthy healthcare environment.

"Looking ahead, an AI-powered connected ecosystem will serve as a daily companion that inherently understands a user's health status and needs," Dr. Pak stated. "We are committed to delivering a new healthcare experience that seamlessly helps individuals achieve their personal health goals."
