‘Perfect Crown’ script book to receive corrections over accuracy issue

The publisher of the script book for Perfect Crown has announced follow-up measures in response to controversy surrounding historical inaccuracies and ceremonial expressions used in the drama.

Publishing company Opan House Studio Audrey said through its Instagram account that it is discussing revisions with the production team regarding several ceremonial expressions included in the script book scheduled for release on May 18.

The controversy emerged after viewers criticized the drama’s depiction of royal ceremonies, including scenes related to a king’s coronation. The production team later issued an official apology and announced plans to make corrections.

The publisher said it was taking the issue seriously and would provide separate correction materials to readers who preordered the first edition while applying the revised content to future printings.

However, the company added that it would be difficult to revise all copies because production and shipment of the first edition had already been completed.

As part of the corrective measures, first-edition buyers will receive digital correction pages in PDF format as well as physical correction stickers.

Beginning May 18, the publisher plans to share a PDF download link reflecting the agreed revisions and a Google Form for sticker applications through its official Instagram account.

The physical correction stickers will be designed to attach directly onto the affected pages in the book and will be shipped sequentially to applicants. The application form will remain open for about two weeks before the publisher begins mass production and delivery.

The publisher also said readers seeking refunds may request them according to the policies and procedures of their purchase platforms.

“We sincerely apologize once again for the confusion and inconvenience caused to readers,” the publisher said.
