Hyundai Motor Company is opening a FIFA Museum exhibition in New York ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, celebrating a century of football history through iconic moments featuring legends such as Pelé, Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi.
The company announced on May 13 that it will host the “Legacy of Champions” exhibition at Radio Park inside Rockefeller Center in Manhattan.
The exhibition will run from June 11 to July 19 and trace 100 years of World Cup history, from the inaugural tournament in 1930 to the present day.
The exhibition space will feature content highlighting symbolic moments, championship teams and legendary players from past tournaments.
Visitors will also be able to view authentic football artifacts and memorabilia designed to help even non-football fans experience the history and significance of the FIFA World Cup. The exhibition will explore not only moments of victory but also stories of failure and disappointment, encouraging visitors to imagine new narratives for the future.
National team jerseys from all 48 countries participating in the 2026 World Cup finals will be displayed together, alongside the historic Jules Rimet Trophy, the first trophy awarded in World Cup history. During selected periods, the current FIFA World Cup Trophy will also be showcased in a special exhibition.
Interactive experiences will include “The Final,” a video exhibition recreating the tension and emotion of World Cup finals, as well as the “Wall of Champions,” dedicated to past World Cup winners.
Hyundai Motor also plans to revisit its long-standing partnership with FIFA, highlighting the company’s commitment to global football and its vision for future mobility innovation.
Since sponsoring the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Hyundai has maintained a partnership with FIFA for approximately 27 years, supporting tournament operations through official vehicle programs and fan engagement initiatives worldwide.
At the 2026 World Cup, Hyundai plans to collaborate with Boston Dynamics to showcase advanced robotics technologies and further expand its global brand presence.
The exhibition will also introduce interactive robotics-themed football content under Hyundai’s World Cup campaign slogan, “Next Starts Now.”
In addition to the indoor exhibition, Hyundai will host outdoor fan experiences connected to the FIFA Fan Village event at Rockefeller Center from July 6 to July 19.
Jeesung Won, Vice President and Head of Brand Marketing at Hyundai Motor, said the company has shared the history and growth of the FIFA World Cup for more than two decades as an official partner.
“Through this exhibition, we hope visitors can once again reflect on the rich legacy of the World Cup,” he said. “Based on robotics technologies that are now becoming mainstream, we aim to present new possibilities for fan experiences and future mobility under the vision of ‘Next Starts Now.’”
