Hyundai Motor Company has launched a customer test-drive event featuring its Ioniq electric vehicles to support South Korea’s national football team ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The company announced on May 6 that it will host a “2-night, 3-day Ioniq test-drive event,” allowing customers to experience its electric vehicles in a car-camping format.

Applications for the event will be accepted through May 17 via Hyundai’s official website. A total of 54 teams will be selected to participate, with test drives available at 27 driving lounge locations nationwide. Participants can choose between the Ioniq 9 and Ioniq 5 models.

Selected participants will take part in the program from May 27 to 29. Among them, 30 individuals who excel in completing assigned missions will receive official World Cup match balls as rewards.

Hyundai Motor has been sponsoring the World Cup and the Korean national team since 1999. This event follows a large-scale customer test-drive campaign held in April.

In addition, the company has launched a World Cup supporter expedition team, led by broadcaster Lee Kyung-kyu and consisting of former professional football players, youth players, influencers, and selected customers.

The team will travel together to experience live matches at the tournament and produce various video content documenting the journey. Special content featuring current national team players and youth players sharing their aspirations and training together will also be released.

A Hyundai Motor official said, “We prepared this 2-night, 3-day EV test-drive program with a car-camping concept to cheer for the national team. We hope more customers will experience the diverse appeal of Hyundai’s electric vehicles through this event.”
