Kim Seon-tae, a former public official turned content creator, is drawing attention for an unconventional bed advertisement featuring nearly 18 minutes of sleep.

The video, created in collaboration with Simmons N32, runs about 20 minutes in total. After a brief two-minute introduction explaining the product and partnership, the remaining footage shows Kim actually falling asleep and staying asleep.

In the video, Kim introduces the new motion bed N32 and mentions that he has insomnia and typically struggles to fall asleep. Moments later, he lies down and quickly drifts off, with the camera continuing to record his sleep.

Viewers responded positively, with comments such as “the most essential bed advertisement,” “a bed that even helps insomnia patients fall asleep,” and “what could be more convincing than this?”

Some users also praised the creativity, noting that “it’s bold to fill most of a 20-minute video with sleep,” and that the format made them intentionally watch the ad longer.

Beyond the viral attention, the campaign also included a charitable element. Kim donated products worth about 26 million won, including N32 motion beds, to a senior welfare center in Chungju on April 21.

The campaign highlights how unconventional storytelling and authenticity can resonate strongly with audiences while reinforcing brand messaging.
