Samsung Display held its “2026 Shared Growth Cooperation Day” on April 15 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo in Seongnam, inviting major domestic partner companies to strengthen collaboration.
The event was attended by CEO Lee Cheong and senior executives, along with representatives from 56 partner firms, including Hong Sung-cheon, head of the company’s supplier council.
In his welcoming remarks, Lee said, “With 8.6-generation IT OLED products nearing mass production, expanding foldable markets, and the emergence of AI devices, 2026 will be a crucial year for our business.” He added, “Our true competitiveness lies in closely communicating with partners, accurately understanding rapidly changing markets and customer needs, and delivering technologies and products more quickly.”
Hong also emphasized the importance of cooperation, stating, “Even in challenging conditions, trust-based collaboration has driven innovation and competitiveness. We will continue to share technologies and expertise to build sustainable partnerships.”
Awards and Expanded Collaboration Programs
During the event, seven companies were recognized as outstanding partners for their achievements in production technology, process innovation, and sustainability.
Among them, SFC received the Grand Innovation Award for developing high-efficiency, long-lifespan organic materials and securing key molecular structures for OLED and QD-OLED production.
The Shared Growth Cooperation Day has been held since 2012 to promote collaboration and mutual growth with partners. Previously organized jointly with Samsung Electronics, the event has been operated separately by each company since last year for greater depth.
This year, Samsung Display introduced new sessions, including product exhibitions and case presentations, to enhance practical technology collaboration and performance sharing.
Ongoing Support for Partner Companies
Samsung Display continues to run various support programs for its partners. One key initiative is the “CrePas” program, which provides R&D funding to partner companies with promising technological ideas.
Since 2010, the company has supported a total of 103 projects with a combined 74.5 billion won in funding in collaboration with the government.
Additionally, through its smart factory support program—now in its ninth year—Samsung Display has been helping partners improve productivity and manufacturing competitiveness. The company has established a 9 billion won fund jointly with the government, supporting 16 companies last year and continuing assistance for 15 companies this year.
