BTS performs their historic comeback stage in Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul.

BTS painted Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square in vibrant purple as the group returned in full formation after three years and nine months.

The “BTS Comeback Live: Arirang” concert, held at 8 p.m. on March 21 at Gwanghwamun Square, celebrated the release of the group’s fifth full-length album. Around 40,000 ARMY fans gathered to welcome the seven members back. Although attendance fell short of the initially expected 260,000, the atmosphere on site remained electrifying.

The members made a grand entrance, walking through 50 dancers lined up at the historic Woldae platform in Gwanghwamun. They performed new tracks from the album, including “Body to Body,” “Hooligan,” and “2.0.” In particular, “Body to Body,” featuring a collaboration with the National Gugak Center and incorporating the traditional Korean folk song “Arirang,” left a strong impression.

Jin said, “I vividly remember asking you to wait for us at our last Busan concert. Thank you for coming. We had many worries before standing here again, but I’m grateful and happy to see you all again.”
Jimin added, “I’m happy that all seven of us are back together. I missed you. I didn’t expect you to fill this entire square today—thank you so much.”
Suga introduced the album, saying, “We put our identity into this album,” while V told global viewers, “We’ve been waiting too. I hope our feelings reach you.”

Before performing “Dynamite,” RM told fans, “This is just the beginning. We love you.”

Meanwhile, according to Hanteo Chart, BTS’s fifth full album “Arirang,” released the previous day, sold 3.98 million copies on its first day, setting a new personal record.

BTS is set to meet global fans again through a world tour beginning April 9 at Goyang Stadium.
