President Lee Jae-myung has appointed Rep. Han Jun-ho, a supreme council member of the Democratic Party of Korea, as his special envoy to attend the inauguration ceremony of Bolivia’s new president, Rodrigo Paz, on November 8.
Presidential spokesperson Kang Yoo-jung announced the decision in a written briefing on November 5, saying Han will deliver President Lee’s personal letter conveying “a message of friendship and commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation between South Korea and Bolivia.”
During the visit, Han is expected to meet key figures of the new Bolivian administration to discuss ways to deepen ties in celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The envoy will also meet with local Korean residents and representatives of Korean firms operating in Bolivia to offer encouragement and hear about their concerns.
