The presidential office revealed on October 30 that U.S. President Donald Trump presented South Korean President Lee Jae-myung with a baseball bat and ball to mark their summit, describing the gifts as symbols of the deep cultural and historical bonds between the two nations.
According to presidential spokesperson Kim Nam-joon, the bat bears the autograph of Washington Nationals player Dylan Crews, while the baseball carries President Trump’s personal seal.
“The U.S. side explained that the gifts represent the longstanding cultural ties and shared values between our two nations, tracing back to the history of American missionaries who first introduced baseball to Korea,” Kim said.
