Singer Jang Wooyoung has returned with his third mini-album I’m Into, released on September 15, offering comfort and self-reflection through five new tracks, including the title song Think Too Much.

“It was a period of being completely immersed in album work,” he said during a recent interview at a café in Seoul’s Gangnam District. “I wanted to capture everything I felt inside that process.”

The album title reflects being deeply absorbed in a moment. “I wanted to express honestly the emotions that come when thoughts become overwhelming,” he explained. “I hope this record reaches some listeners as empathy and others as comfort.” Unlike simple love songs, I’m Into draws on self-examination and inner emotions.

The lead track Think Too Much pairs sleek, funky sounds with a message of reassurance: “It’s okay to pause.” Instead of urging people to push harder, the song invites them to accept themselves as they are. “The more you think, the more you tend to push yourself too hard—but that process can actually lead you to the answers,” Wooyoung said.

Other tracks revolve around the themes of “immersion and absorption,” moving fluidly across jazz, hip-hop, soul and pop. He emphasized building a natural flow between fast and slow songs, designing the sequence like a breathing rhythm.

“The hardest part was the ‘blank space in themes,’” he admitted. “When lyrics wouldn’t come, I leaned on my team. Asking ‘What does Jang Wooyoung really want to say?’ became the turning point. I gained courage from those conversations and found my direction.”

The process also taught him to let go of perfectionism. “Once I gave up on doing everything flawlessly, I could experiment more freely and approach the music with honesty and lightness,” he said. “I realized authenticity matters far more than perfection.”

“This album isn’t just a comeback—it’s a reflection of my inner changes,” Wooyoung concluded. “It’s ultimately a message to myself. If it helps listeners reflect on their own lives and find even a little strength, that’s more than enough.”
