The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) announced on June 23 that it has selected 14 works to receive support from this year’s Asian Cinema Fund (ACF), one of BIFF’s flagship production support initiatives.

According to BIFF, three films were chosen for the Feature Film Development Fund: Angel of the Black Star by Armenian director Kristin Harutyunyan, Heaven Help Us by Filipino director Yves Basuel, and A New Life by Chinese director Li Yingtong. Each will receive ₩10 million in script development funding and be invited to the Asian Project Market for business meetings.

Four works were selected for the Post-Production Fund: When You Grow Up by Korean director Jung Seung-oh, One Winter Night by Indian director Sanju Surendran, Observer’s Diary by Lim Jung-hwan, and The River That Holds Our Hands by director Chen Jianhang—a joint production from Hong Kong, China, and Vietnam. These films will receive post-production support and are scheduled for world premieres at the 30th BIFF in September.

Additionally, seven projects were selected for the ACF’s AND Fund and will be invited to the Asian Contents & Film Market. Among them are Oma by Indonesian-Filipino-French-Dutch director Armin Septiexan, and Sea, Star, Woman by Korean-French director Lim Jung-hye.

The 30th Busan International Film Festival will be held from September 17 to 26 around the Busan Cinema Center.
