President Lee Jae-myung hosted the new floor leadership of the Democratic Party (DP) for dinner at his official residence in Hannam-dong on June 23.

According to presidential spokesperson Kang Yoo-jung, President Lee emphasized during the meeting, “Cooperation between the party and the administration is the foundation of success,” adding, “I will become a president whose approval rating is higher at the end than at the beginning.”

Lee also stressed the urgency of collaboration, saying, “Now more than ever, cooperation and mutual understanding between the legislative and executive branches are crucial to improving people’s lives and livelihoods.”

The DP floor leaders responded by affirming that “completing reform and livelihood legislation is essential to the success of the Lee Jae-myung administration,” reiterating their commitment to economic recovery and public welfare.

Spokesperson Kang added that the floor leadership shared President Lee’s resolve to “make sure the people can truly say the world has changed and life has improved.”

The dinner lasted for about two hours and featured Korean cuisine.
