Lee Jae-myung, presidential candidate of the main opposition Democratic Party of Korea, is set to hold a series of concentrated campaign rallies in key districts of Seoul and the capital region on the final day of the election campaign.
Democratic Party chief spokesperson Cho Seung-rae said in a briefing on June 2, “Lee will travel across Seoul and core areas of the capital region to deliver a message of hope for Korea’s recovery. He will make a last, urgent appeal to voters on the ground to cast their ballots for ending division, restoring the economy, elevating national dignity, and reviving democracy.”
Lee’s campaign will begin at 11 a.m. with an event at North Seoul Dream Forest, where he will meet with residents from Gangbuk, Seongbuk, Dobong, and Nowon districts. He plans to share his vision for a society where all generations—from youth to seniors—have fair opportunities and dreams.
At 12:50 p.m., he will visit citizens in front of Starfield Hanam to outline plans to improve living conditions in both the old town and new city areas and to develop Gyo-san New Town into an energy self-sufficient city.
Following the Hanam event, Lee will hold a press conference at Seongnam Community Church, a place symbolically tied to his political roots. Afterward, he will campaign intensively in Seongnam and Gwangju.
Spokesperson Cho added, “Lee will present solutions for national unity and economic recovery and reaffirm his determination to implement them.”
At 4:40 p.m., Lee will campaign on Cheolsan Rodeo Street, highlighting transportation, economic, and welfare pledges for Gwangmyeong, including new rail lines (Sincheon–Haan–Sillim Line) and support for developing Gwangmyeong KTX Station area as an international administrative and business hub.
At 6:10 p.m., he will meet residents of Gangseo and Yangcheon at the entrance to Seoul Botanic Park to discuss easing height restrictions around Gimpo Airport and expediting the construction of a Gangseo branch of the Seoul Metropolitan Library.
His campaign day will culminate with a major rally at Yeouido Park at 8 p.m., followed by an appearance on the YouTube broadcast Online Final Rally 123 at 10 p.m., concluding his election activities.
“Each and every vote can become a light that dispels darkness and a force that helps heal this land and its people,” Cho urged, calling for voter participation.
