Rev. Jun Kwang-hoon, pastor of Sarang Jeil Church, said on April 11 that the Liberty Unification Party may consider unifying its candidacy with People Power Party presidential nominee Kim Moon-soo—if Kim “earnestly requests it.”

Speaking on the YouTube channel Justice Realization Park Wan-seok, Jun stated that while the Liberty Unification Party remains open to coordination, “we will continue on our independent path unless Kim’s side initiates the request.” He added that he also plans to propose talks to Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung and “demonstrate the strength of Gwanghwamun.”

The day before, during a nationwide Sunday worship service held in Gwanghwamun, Jun commented, “In the end, Kim Moon-soo has been restored,” and added, “It may turn out to be a blessing in disguise—Kim Moon-soo might actually become president.”
