Jo Min-ah, a former member of the girl group Jewelry, has been named the nationwide top insurance seller at DB Insurance, achieving the honor just six months after beginning her career in the field.

On April 24, Jo shared her thoughts on Instagram alongside a photo of herself presenting at a company seminar recognizing outstanding cases. “I’ve taken on many roles—child actor, singer, musical performer, solo artist, bakery café owner, tarot master, and now insurance consultant,” she wrote. “Whatever I start, I commit to for five to ten years with intensity and sincerity.”

She continued, “There were many difficult moments, but I never stopped, always envisioning a better future. Reflecting on my past, I sought wisdom, stayed present, and kept moving forward. I’ll continue to share positive energy. Thank you for always supporting and loving me.”

Jo first revealed her career shift last September by posting a name tag labeled “Team Leader Jo Ha-rang, DB Insurance” on social media. In just half a year, she rose to the top of the company’s national rankings.

Last month, she announced her seventh “DB Queen” award, saying, “I thought I’d never hold a microphone again after leaving the stage as a singer, but I’m grateful to be holding one every month now. I think I’ll have to offer a song as my next acceptance speech.”

The news drew congratulations from Ha Tae-kyung, head of the Insurance Training Institute, who praised Jo’s transformation. “From singer on stage to a top performer in the insurance field—congratulations. I hope you continue to shine as a sincere consultant to your clients and a supportive presence to your colleagues.”

Jo Min-ah began her career as a child actor in 1995 and debuted as a member of Jewelry in 2002, gaining popularity through hits like “Again,” “I Really Like You,” and “Superstar.” After leaving the group in 2005, she pursued solo music, musical theater, and ran a bakery café. She married a non-celebrity in 2020 and had a son, but news of her divorce emerged in 2022.
