Kim Hye-yoon to star in new horror film

Actress Kim Hye-yoon has been cast in the lead role of the upcoming horror film Salmokji (working title), following her recent appearance in the drama Lovely Runner.

Distributor Showbox announced on April 15 that Kim will headline the film, which is set to begin filming next month. She will play the character Soo-in, a woman who experiences a series of mysterious events at a reservoir while on a business trip.

Rising actor Lee Jong-won, known for his role in Knight Flower, has been cast as Ki-tae, who accompanies Soo-in to the reservoir.

The film will be directed by newcomer Lee Sang-min, with production by The Lamp, the company behind A Taxi Driver and Samjin Company English Class.
