The K-pop group SEVENTEEN has donated 1 billion won (approximately $682,000) to help residents affected by the recent wildfires in Korea.

On March 27, the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association shared that SEVENTEEN had made the donation to aid residents in the wildfire-affected regions of Ulsan, North Gyeongsang, and South Gyeongsang provinces.

"We hope this will provide even a small amount of relief to those affected by the wildfires," SEVENTEEN stated. "We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and offer our support to everyone going through these difficult times."

SEVENTEEN's generous donation stands out as one of the most significant contributions among celebrities. In comparison, major South Korean corporations such as Samsung Group have donated 3 billion won, while SK, Hyundai Motor, and LG each contributed 2 billion won.

Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of the Hope Bridge Association, expressed gratitude, saying, "We deeply appreciate the warmhearted donation from SEVENTEEN's members. The funds will be used swiftly and transparently to help the wildfire victims return to their daily lives as soon as possible."

Hope Bridge has been actively providing emergency relief supplies to wildfire-affected areas in North Gyeongsang County and South Gyeongsang County. They have also dispatched relief vehicles to operate temporary shelters at the disaster sites.
