Police booked Song Min-ho, a member of WINNER, as a suspect over alleged allegations that he did not properly fulfill his mandatory military duties as a social service officer.

The Military Manpower Administration requested an investigation on Monday. The police intend to decide whether Song violated the Military Service Act after reviewing the request from the manpower agency.

The agency indicated that should the police investigation reveal that Song’s service performance was lacking, his discharge could be reversed, and he may be required to serve again for the period in which he failed to meet his duties properly. The agency clarified that it would not conduct an independent investigation, as the police investigation would provide more accurate and reliable results.

The controversy started on December 7, when Dispatch reported that Song had not been fulfilling his duties properly.
