“Devil’s Plan” becomes the most popular show on Netflix in Korea

Netflix’s reality show “The Devil’s Plan” produced by Jung Jong-yeon has become the most popular TV show on Netflix in Korea.

As of Thursday, the series ranked No. 1 on ‘Today’s Korea Top 10 Series’ on Netflix. According to Netflix, the series was viewed for a stunning 2.3 million hours within the first six days, landing it the 3rd ranking the worldwide TOP 10 shows category for non-English content. It has earned a spot in the Top 10 list across 23 countries, including Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Arab Emirates, Turkey, Thailand, and Malaysia, since its launch on September 26.

The survival game show, featuring 12 contestants from various fields, such as lawyers, doctors, science YouTubers, professional gamers, and actors, takes place over seven days as they vie for the title of the best brain. The cast includes actor Ha Suk-jin, professional Go player Cho Yeon-woo, announcer Lee Hye-sung, actress Lee See-won, K-pop star SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan, USA-based orthopedic doctor Suh Yu-min, California-based lawyer Suh Dong-joo, entertainer Park Kyeong-rim, professional poker player Kim Dong-jae, professional poker player Guillaume Patry, science YouTube Orbit, and travel YouTuber Kwak Joon-bin.
