Yoo Ah-in investigated by the police for use of propofol

Actor Yoo Ah-in was investigated by the police for use of propofol, a psychotropic drug. The actor said he will cooperate actively with all investigations.

On February 8, Yoo Ah-in’s agency UAA said, “Yoo Ah-in recently was investigated by the police for use of propofol. We are actively cooperating with all investigations related to this, and we will actively explain any parts that are of issue. We apologize for causing concern.”

Earlier in the afternoon on the same day, TV Chosun’s News 9 reported that a top actor in his 30s was investigated by the police for habitual use of propofol.

The police are currently requesting an evaluation of Yoo Ah-in’s hair from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation to check whether he habitually used propofol. The police reportedly banned the actor from leaving the country.
