Eru apologizes for drunk driving

Singer and actor Eru has apologized for drunk driving.

On December 20, Eru said, “I apologize for giving you all cause for concern because of my wrongdoing. There is no room for excuses regarding the fact that I drove drunk.”

He will step down from upcoming KBS 2TV’s drama “Secret Woman” and halt all activities.

“I apologize to the production team and the people at the broadcast network who are currently working on preparing the drama. I will halt all activities in the entertainment industry and take time to reflect on myself.”

According to the police, Eru crashed his car into a guardrail on the Gangbyeon Expressway on December 19. A man who was also in Eru’s car at the time of the accident is said to have sustained minor injuries. Eru’s blood alcohol content was found to be at a level high enough for his driver’s license to be revoked.
