“The Owl” tops box office for 3rd week

The film “The Owl” featuring actors Yoo Hae-jin and Ryu Jun-yeol has been maintaining the 1st place on the box office. 

The movie sold 172,803 tickets for a single day on December 11, attracting 2.52 million accumulated viewers, according to the data from the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) on Monday.

Since its premiere on November 19, the movie has been topping the box office for 19 consecutive days.

Set in the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), the thriller tells the story of a day-blind acupuncturist who happens to witness the death of the crown prince and struggles to unearth the truth behind the death.
