Younha earns first No. 1 with “Event Horizon”

Singer Younha topped on a music show with “Event Horizon”.

On the November 27th episode of SBS’ ‘Inkigayo’, Younha won the first place with “Event Horizon”, which was released back in March.

The song was out of the music charts by September. However, the song garnered popularity and reentered Melon Top 100 chart by ranking at No. 98. Then it topped the chart on Nov. 6 nearly after a month.

On November 19, the song achieved an all-kill on various music charts including Melon, Genie, Bugs, Vibe, Apple Music, and YouTube Music. The song has been topping various music charts since then.

Eventually, the song topped on a TV music show, 243 days after its release.

“I never expected to win on TV music show,” Younha said. “It’s like my birthday everyday. It’s my first Inkigayo trophy in 15 years. I hope I make good music 15 years later.”
