ITZY became million sellers with their 5th mini album “Checkmate”.

According to their agency JYP Entertainment, ITZY’s 5th mini album “Checkmate” exceeded 1 million copies in album sales as of Wednesday. 

Previously, “Checkmate” surpassed 720,665 copies in pre-order sales, and 472,394 copies in first week sales, according to Hanteo Chart. The album also ranked #8 on U.S. Billboard’s main song chart “Billboard 200”, proving the group’s global popularity.

Meanwhile, ITZY will release their second single album in Japan on October 5.
