Actress Seo Hyun-jin revealed why she chose to star in film “Cassiopeia.”
“Cassiopeia” is a film about Soo-jin, who wanted to be perfect as a lawyer, a mother and a daughter, lives a new life as she is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
Seo Hyun-jin plays the role of Soo-jin, a talented lawyer who loses her memory due to Alzheimer’s disease.
“Film director Shin Yeon-sik wrote the script, so he had a sense of understanding. Not every director writes scripts and direct. Working with the first creator was what attracted me the most,” Seo Hyun-jin said.
“I wanted to do my acting with a script that could show its depth and that couldn’t be done with dramas. At that moment, I received the script for Cassiopeia. I decided to take the role because I thought I could express the Alzheimer’s patient in a more realistic way than in a drama,” she added.
“Cassiopeia” is set to premiere on June 1.
