IU shares she was impressed after receiving praise from Song Kang-ho

Singer and actress IU shared that she was impressed after her ‘Broker’ co-star Song Kang-ho praised her for acting.

On May 10, a press conference for film director Kore-eda Hirokazu’s new film ‘Broker’ was held at CGV Yongsan in Seoul. Actors Song Kang-ho, Kang Dong-won, IU, Lee Joo-young and more attended the event. Director Kore-eda Hirokazu joined the meeting with an online interview.

During the event, IU said, “That very moment will leave a strong impression on the rest of my life. The sun was setting, and Song Kang-ho was waiting for me although he was to leave the set earlier than me. When I asked him why he didn’t go home, he told me, ‘I monitored your scene, and I liked it very much.”

“Then he was moving away. The moment was beautiful and impressive. I almost cried. I even told my parents about it,” she said.

“Broker” is set to premiere on June 8.
