Namgoong Min wins grand prize at 2021 MBC Drama Awards

Actor Namgoong Min took home the Grand Prize at the 2021 MBC Drama Awards.

On December 30, Namgoong Min won the greatest honor for “The Veil” at the ceremony held at MBC Open Hall in Seoul.

Namgoong Min played the role of Han Ji-hyuk, a member of the National Intelligence Services on-site support team, in MBC’s Friday-Saturday blockbuster drama “The Veil” which aired from September to October.

“From a technical point of view, it was a drama that took a lot of time to make. As we passed the halfway point, I remember thinking that I wished we had a little more time. Nevertheless, we were able to wrap it up well thanks to the cast and crew members,” the actor said.

“The Red Sleeve” took home the most trophies at the awards, including the Drama of the Year Award, the Top Excellence Awards for stars Lee Jun-ho and Lee Se-young, the Lifetime Achievement Award for Lee Deok-hwa, the Best Couple Award, the Best New Actor award for Kang Hoon, the Best Screenwriter Award, and more.
