Taeyeon wins YouTube “Gold Play Button”

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon received “Gold Play Button” for her YouTube channel.

“As of early Thursday morning, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon reached 1 million subscribers on her official YouTube channel known as TaengooTV, winning Gold Play Button,” said K-Pop Radar, a fandom data observer of Fandom Laboratory blip.

TaengooTV is one of the YouTube channels that have experienced an explosive increase in subscribers thanks to subscribers at home and abroad. After exceeding 500,000 subscribers in March this year, it set a record-breaking record about five months later. It is more eye-catching in that the artist achieved such outcome with only 27 video clips.

In addition, “With her achievement, Taeyeon has become the 10th K-pop solo artist that has reached more than 1 million subscribers, and the 5th female artist to do so following IU, f(x)’s Amber , Akdong Musician’s Lee Soo-hyun, and Lee Hi.
