EXO‘s Lay to release solo track “what U need?” on his birthday

Exo's Lay will be releasing his surprise solo track "what U need?" in celebration of his birthday on October 7.

According to his agency SM Entertainment on Thursday, Lay will release "what U need?" on October 7, 12 p.m. through various Korean music charts as well as through Chinese music group Ali Music.

"what U need?" is a medium tempo track that contains a trendy rhythm and funky pop groove. Lay participated in the writing and the composition of the song. Talented producing team Devine-Channel worked for the song as well.

Meanwhile, Lay will be performing his solo track "what U need?" for the first time at the 2016 Asia Song Festival in Busan on October 9.
