Girls' Generation's Sooyoung held a charity event to help visually impaired patients.
On February 1, Sooyoung held a special charity event to auction her personal belongings as well as her colleagues' at the Heartist House in Samcheong-dong, Seoul.
Sooyoung said, "My father is running a campaign that fights blindness for people suffering from a rare disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP). I heard that enough money for research was raised thanks to help from many people over the years, and the Seoul University hospital ophthalmology department will start clinical research for stem cells for RP patients. I was looking for a way that I could help, which led me to hold a bazaar using items in my closet."
Meanwhile, Sooyoung revealed her items to be on the auction through her pictorial on the February issue of fashion magazine NYLON.
