“Reply 1988” Ryu Jun-yeol reveals he auditioned for “Dong Ryong”

Actor Ryu Jun-yeol from "Reply 1988" revealed that he almost got to play "Dong Ryong" on "Reply 1988."


On January 26th episode of tvN's "Taxi", Ryu Jun-yeol and Lee Dong-hwi from "Reply 1988" appeared as guests.


Ryu Jun-yeol said, "I read for several characters. I read all the characters' script except for Duk Suk."


He continued, "At first, I went in thinking I was auditioning for Dong Ryong. I had prepared to sing and dance. But then the director talked about baduk, so I asked the director, 'Should I try for that role?' and he told me to do so. But at the end, I was cast as Jung Hwan.
